Our Story

Doug and Mary Napton have lived in Glendive since 1972 where they worked and raised their 2 daughters. Before retirement, Doug’s work was in the oil industry, he trained under his own father … beginning as a “rough neck” and ending his career as a superintendent. Mary’s work and service to the Glendive community came through substitute teaching, work at Eastmont Training Services, and after Eastmont closed continued her work serving the developmentally disabled community via her work in the Glendive Community Group Home System.

Zippidy Doo Dawg is partially the product of Doug’s mechanical creativity & skill, as the cart itself is a DIY project constructed during the pandemic … it is also the product of both Mary’s and Doug’s life long love of creating all kinds of deliciousness in the kitchen! Mary makes all the sides in small batches - and you will be able to taste again and again her attention to detail, while Doug is ready to take risks - mixing and matching flavors and textures.
